Diligence. Experience. Results.

Appeals and Writs

Not all cases are won or lost at trial. Appellate work requires facile writing, persuasive legal reasoning, and a broad knowledge of the unique rules and procedures of the appellate courts.

Mr. Wechsler has extensive experience and an established reputation for excellence practicing before the California Courts of Appeal. His extensive experience means he knows how to assess the likelihood of success on appeal and get results efficiently. Mr. Wechsler serves on the California Appellate Project, as court appointed appellate counsel for indigent criminal defendants.

California Writs
In simplest terms, a writ is a formal written order issued by either an administrative or judicial body (normally a court). Warrants, prerogative writs, and subpoenas are types of writs, but there are many others. The firm is experienced in the pursuit of writs in California jurisdictions large and small.
